One of the defining characteristics of the TASER® X26P is its Neuro-Muscular Incapacitation (NMI) technology. Unlike pain-compliance tools that rely solely on discomfort, NMI works by sending electrical pulses that temporarily disrupt the communication between the brain and voluntary muscles. This disruption limits the attacker’s ability to coordinate movement, making it extremely difficult for them to continue aggressive behavior during the deployment cycle. The device’s standard cycle lasts approximately five seconds, creating a valuable window of time for the user to move away from the threat and reach safety.
The system’s 15-foot cartridge range is designed to give users distance from a potential attacker.
